Back in May, Xiaomi launched its Mi 8 series of smartphones in China. Announced at the company s eighth anniversary, the line-up includes the flagship Mi 8 (along with its different variants) and its slightly toned-down variant, the Mi 8 SE. Now, all Mi 8 series devices run Android Oreo (skinned with Xiaomi s MIUI) out-of-the-box, with an update to Android Pie set to arrive soon. However, it seems that at least one of them is on track to receive Android Q as well. According to a report on Nashville Chatter, Xiaomi Mi 8 SE was recently spotted on a Geekbench listing, running Android Q. This comes just days after Google s top-tier Pixel 3 XL appeared on Geekbench with Android Q on-board, and it means that Google is hard at work developing the next version of the world s most-popular mobile operating system. Going by a screenshot of the listing shared by Nashville Chatter, the Mi 8 SE scored 1830 and 5819 in single-core and multi-core benchmarks, respectively.
