Xiaomi has revealed that it sold 1 million units of its Mi 8 series smartphones in less than three weeks. The Chinese smartphone maker claims to have sold one million units within 18 days, which is faster than 22 days taken by OnePlus 6 to achieve the same feat.
The details regarding the strong sales of Mi 8 smartphones were shared by Donovan Sung, the global spokesperson for the company. The Mi 8 series consisting of Mi 8, Mi 8 SE and Mi 8 Explorer were announced at company’s 8th anniversary event last month. Only the Mi 8 and Mi 8 SE are currently available for purchase and are limited to select markets. The sales would be driven primarily by Xiaomi‘s home market of China, but the company hasn’t divulged those details.
