Xiaomi is likely to launch yet another smartphone in the market in the form of its Xiaomi Mi 8X. Three variants of the device were spotted on the Chinese certification website 3C hinting that Xiaomi might launch the device soon in the Chinese market. According to a report by 91mobiles, Xiaomi Mi 8X with model number M1808D2TE was initially spotted on the ration transmission website and later on Weibo along with the specifications sheet and real-life images. Mi 8X will be the third device in the Mi 8 series joining the existing Mi 8 and Mi 8 SE devices. The 3C listing does not reveal much about the device except the model numbers of the devices. The model numbers of the three variants include M1808D2TE, M1808D2TT, and M1808D2TC. As previously reported, the Mi 8X is likely to sport Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC. In addition to the SoC, the company is also expected to pack an under-display fingerprint scanner and a 3,100 mAh battery. According to the report, the leaked renders on Weibo hint that the device may come with a glossy finish on the back along with blue and white hues. Mi 8X is likely to plug the gap between the Xiaomi Mi 8 and the Mi 8 SE in terms of specifications and pricing.
Xiaomi has not revealed any additional details about the launch event or the pricing of the Mi 8X. This leak comes right after the company announced that it is launching Poco, a new sub-brand for the company and a day after Xiaomi India launched its latest smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi A2 in the Indian market.
