Xiaomi is all set to launch its much anticipated Xiaomi Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite smartphones at the global launch event in Spain on July 24. Days before the official launch, both these devices have been spotted on Romanian stores along with pricing. According to a report by GSMArena, this is not the first time that both the devices have been spotted in European stores. Details about the devices initially leaked when they were spotted on a Swiss website and a Polish store a few days later. The report pointed out that Xiaomi has priced the Mi A2 with 32GB internal storage for 275 which is Rs 22,131 and the 64GB variant is listed at 300 (around Rs 24,143) at the time of writing. Both the variants come with 4GB RAM and they will be available in 7 days. Moving to the pricing of the Mi A2 Lite, the variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB RAM has been priced at 200 which is about Rs 16,095 while the 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant retails for 245 which translates to Rs 19,717. Other stores have quoted a little higher price along with longer wait times for all the variants of both the devices. Moving towards the specifications of the device, the Mi A2 is expected to sport a 6-inch display with a FHD+ resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. Design wise, it will still come with a metal unibody design and dual cameras at the back.
It is likely that Xiaomi will add Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC with 4GB and 6GB as the RAM options and 32GB, 64GB and 128GB as the onboard storage options. Talking about dual rear cameras, the company is expected to add a 12-megapixel primary sensor, along with a 20-megapixel secondary sensor on the back. Xiaomi may add a 20-megapixel sensor on the front so that the camera can take better images in more challenging situations.
Xiaomi is expected to launch its Mi A2 Lite with a smaller display sized, that notch and 19:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is likely to run on Snapdragon 625 SoC and may be available in configurations packing 3GB or 4GB RAM along with 32GB or 64GB internal storage. It is expected to feature a 4,000mAh battery while sporting a stock Android 8.1 Oreo OS.
