Well, it’s a Friday and while most of you may be in the weekend mood, today has turned out to be a software update day in the smartphone world. Realme 2 and Realme C1 have been updated with November security patch, Moto One Power has been treated with Android 9 Pie update, Samsung started rolling out an update that brings dual VoLTE and AR Emoji to the Galaxy J8. And now, Xiaomi also joins the software update party.
Earlier this week, Android 9 Pie update had been leaked for the Xiaomi Mi A2. Now, according to the latest report (via XDA Developers), Xiaomi has started rolling out the latest Android version for users in India. The update is roughly 1.1GB in size, and brings all the Pie goodness such as new navigation gestures, adaptive brightness and adaptive battery, among others.

To get your phone ready for Android Pie, ensure that you have the last update with November 2018 security patch installed. As always, this is a phased roll out and it may take a while before the update becomes available for your smartphone. Meanwhile, you can head over to Settings and manually check for updates.
Earlier today, Xiaomi also gave Rs 1,000 price cut to the Mi A2 smartphone after which the base variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant is available for Rs 15,999. Similarly, the other variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs 18,999.
