Last week, Xiaomi launched its Mi A2 smartphone in India. The smartphone comes with more than a decent spec sheet, and will be available for purchase today at 12:00PM today. If you’re planning to get the Mi A2, here’s everything you need to know about it.

The first sale of the Mi A2 will commence at 12:00PM today with the smartphone being available to purchase on both Amazon India and mi.com. Since it’s a flash sale, you may want to get online a few minutes before the scheduled time to increase your chances of getting the Mi A2.
There are a couple of offers available with Xiaomi Mi A2. Successful buyers will receive an instant cashback of Rs 2,200, courtesy of Reliance Jio. The cashback is in the form of 44 cashback vouchers of Rs 50 each, redeemable through the MyJio app while recharging a Jio account on the Mi A2. Along with this, buyers will also receive up to 4.5TB of data, provided they recharge with any prepaid plan of Rs 198 (or above) on the Mi A2. Needless to say, users need to have Jio Prime membership in order to be able to avail the benefits.

Xiaomi is also offering free three-month subscription to Hungama Music with every purchase of the Mi A2. Under ‘Mi Exchange’ program, you can also exchange your old phone and get some extra discount on the price of the Mi A2.

The Mi A2 is Xiaomi’s second Android One-certified smartphone after last year’s Mi A1. Priced at Rs 16,999, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (There’s also a higher-end variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, coming soon). However, there’s no memory expansion slot.
Running stock Android 8.1 Oreo, the Mi A2 is entitled to receive OS/security updates (including the latest Android Pie). The smartphone has a 5.99-inch FullHD+ display with a resolution of 1080×2160 pixels, and an 18:9 aspect ratio.
For photography, the Mi A2 features a dual-camera system at the back. It’s comprised of a 12-megapixel sensor, and a 20-megapixel sensor, complete with dual-LED flash. There’s also a 20-megapixel camera up front for selfies and video calls. From Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac to USB Type-C, the Mi A2 has all the connectivity options you can think of. Sadly, there’s no 3.5mm audio port. The smartphone’s backed by a 3,000mAh battery with fast-charging support.
