Xiaomi is all set to launch the Mi A2 smartphone in Spain today. The smartphone is touted to be the rebranded version of the Xiaomi 6X, which was launched in China few months ago. It is also the successor to the Mi A1, which was the first Android One smartphone from Xiaomi. Today s launch event will start by the 11:30AM local time, which is 2:30PM IST. Leading to the launch, there have been a lot of buzz around the Mi A2. The latest one comes courtesy of Slashleaks, which showcases the retails box of the smartphone. While the box doesn t give out a lot of information, it does confirm the fact that the smartphone will be coming with a dual-rear camera setup and will be available in two colors of Blue and Gold. Besides the Mi A2, rumors have also suggested Xiaomi to launch the Mi A2 Lite smartphone alongside of it. While it s not officially confirmed yet, hands-on images of the device have also appeared on Slashleaks. The images were originally posted on Twitter by Zahin Hasan, which also showcases the smartphone s retail box behind it. However, the sticker on the smartphone screen reveals the Mi A2 Lite to come with a 5.84-inch Full HD+ notch display, a dual-rear camera setup consisting of 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors, and a massive 4,000mAh battery. It also confirms the Android One operating system. All of this hints at the fact the Xiaomi might in fact launch the smartphone today.
Xiaomi Mi A2 specifications and features
According to previous reports, the Xiaomi Mi A2 is expected to come powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC with RAM and storage configurations of 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB. It is expected to come with a 6-inch full HD+ screen with 18:9 aspect ratio and no notch.
The dual-camera setup at the back is suggested to carry a combination of 12-megapixel and 20-megapixel sensors, and for taking selfies there is a 20-megapixel sensor up front. On the software side, the device is expected to run stock Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box.
Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite specifications and features
The Mi A2 Lite as confirmed, will feature a smaller 5.84-inch Full HD+ display, with a notch at the top. It is expected to be packing a Snapdragon 625 SoC, running alongside the 4,000mAh battery. The smartphone will also be available in two variants that feature 32GB storage with 3GB RAM, and 64GB storage with 4GB RAM.

While the rear camera is revealed to be a combination of 12+5-megapixel sensors, the front camera is touted to be a 5-megapixel shooter. It will also be backed by Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-box.
