Xiaomi has made quite a few changes and the new Mi Air Purifier 2 is lighter and more compact than before. Where the first-generation model featured dimensions of 735x260mm, the new product features dimensions of 520x240mm. In other words, the base area of the purifier is smaller than an A4 size paper. Despite the compact design, the new air purifier still has a Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) of 388m3/h. The Mi Air Purifier 2 employs a setup featuring a single motor, dual mixed booster fans, and a three layer filter. This setup ensures that the new Air Purifier is 11 percent quieter than before with the lowest noise level at 30db. It is also said to be up to 58 percent more power efficient than its predecessor. Xiaomi also boasts that the Mi Air Purifier 2 is capable of removing up to 99.7 percent of the PM2.5 particulates in less than an hour.
