The pictures posted on Weibo suggest we are looking at device with a touchscreen OLED display similar to the regular Mi Band 3. The only major difference between the standard model and Explorer Edition could be the translucent strap. The Mi Band 3 is currently available in China with three strap options of black, orange and blue and is priced at RMB 169 (around Rs 1,700). Xiaomi has also confirmed plans to sell NFC-enabled variants of the Mi Band 3 in September.
This variant is expected to carry a price tag of RMB 199 (around Rs 2,000), but there is no official world on whether the Mi Band 3 Explorer Edition is the NFC version of the standard model. Xiaomi has emerged as the second-largest wearable brand with strong demand for its Mi Bands in India and China. The wearable devices are built by Huami technologies and it plans to launch a customized version of Mi Band with Xiaomi’s stock code ‘1810’ mentioned on the strap along with some Chinese text.
