Xiaomi at its Smarter Living event in Bangalore yesterday launched a new range of smart products in India. The list includes and a new series of smart TVs, Mi Band 3, Mi Air Purifier 2S, Mi Home Security Camera 360 and Mi Luggage. From that, the Mi Band 3 and the Mi Air Purifier 2S are said to go on sale today.
The Mi Band 3 is priced at Rs 1,999 and will be going on sale via Amazon India and mi.com. The smart purifier on the other hand comes with a price tag of Rs 8,999 and will be available on Amazon India, Flipkart, and mi.com. Sales for both devices will commence at 12:00PM.
Mi Band 3 features and specifications
Mi Band 3 is the natural successor to Mi Band 2, launched two years ago. It’s a highly anticipated device considering the fact that the Mi Band 2 series was one of the highest-shipped wearables that made Xiaomi the number one wearable brand in the country with 46% market share. The new device comes with substantial upgrades this time around. One of its key highlights is its 0.78-inch OLED screen which now can display more information including entire text and WhatsApp messages.
In terms of fitness, the device can track steps, calories burnt, distance covered and sleep cycles. It also has a heart-rate sensor for tracking heart beat levels while exercising. Xiaomi has made the band water resistant up to 50 meters. Notification management has also improved. Users can now see who is calling and directly mute incoming calls from the wrist band itself. Xiaomi claims that the battery life of the Mi Band 3 is 20 days.
Mi Air Purifier 2S features and specifications
Mi Air Purifier 2S is the upgraded version of the Air Purifier that Xiaomi already sells in India. This time around Xiaomi claims that the filtration system is more powerful and faster than the predecessor. The new purifier also comes with a high precision laser sensor to monitor the air quality on a microscopic level and take measures accordingly.

The purifier comes with a simple design that features an OLED display that can show air quality, temperature, humidity, and other information. The company claims that the light sensor on the purifier will automatically sense the difference in lighting conditions and take counter measures to adjust the brightness level of the display. Being a smart purifier, users can also control features of the device and keep a tab on the air quality remotely.
