Xiaomi is all set to launch its next-gen Mi Band 3 along with Mi 8 and Mi 8SE smartphones later today in China. And ahead of the launch, alleged images and specs of the Mi Band 3 have leaked in official posters on Weibo.
The leaked images showcase the new fitness band along with all the specs and features. The Mi Band 3 is said to sport a convex shaped 0.78-inch OLED screen that will be curved and mesh into the band. Buyers will get three options in terms of the color – black, blue and pink.
The display of the Mi Band 3 will be touchscreen, and enable users to read instant messages from various apps, see who is calling on the connected smartphone, and mute incoming calls.
Other functions that will be made available are weather updates, and an alarm that can be turned off using the touchscreen itself. Besides these features, there are some that are retained from the Mi Band 2. These include the heart-rate monitor, daily steps count, and sedentary reminder.
The Mi Band 3 will be waterproof up to a depth of 50 meters, which is equivalent to five atmospheric pressure. In terms of the battery, the Mi Band 3 is set to last for about 20 days on a single charge, which is a step up from previous versions.
The Mi Band 3 is rumored to be priced around RMB 169 (Rs 1,800 approximately) in China, which is a tad bit more that its predecessor the Mi Band 2.
