Late last month, Xiaomi unveiled the flagship Mi 8-series smartphones along with the Mi Band 3 fitness band. Xiaomi has now started rolling out the first update to the Mi Band 3 which lets users mute the connected smartphone when the phone is ringing. However, the feature is limited to Android platform. It may eventually come to iOS, but Xiaomi hasn’t revealed anything yet.
Successor to the Mi Band 2, the Mi Band 3 is launched in two variants, one features NFC connectivity and is priced at RMB 199 (approximately Rs 2,100), whereas the other misses out on it and is priced at RMB 169 (approximately Rs 1,700).
The Mi Band 3 sports a 0.78-inch OLED display. It shows call and message notifications, fitness and activity statistics, such as number of steps walked, distance covered, sleep tracking and more. Compared to the predecessor, the Mi Band 3 is equipped with an improved pedometer, and a heart rate sensor.

The display also comes with touch sensitive functionality where you can accept or reject incoming calls. It has a resolution of 128×80 pixels. With Bluetooth 4.2 LE connectivity, the Mi Band 3 comes with 110mAh battery that can last for up to 20 days on a single charge. Xiaomi hasn’t revealed India launch plans yet, but considering the fact the Mi Band and Mi Band 2 were launched in India, we would expect the Mi Band 3 to launch sometime this year.
