Xiaomi Mi Band to be sold without registrations on June 2


Xiaomi just conducted its fourth flash sale for the Mi Band on its company website today. The fitness tracker priced at Rs 999 went out of stock in hours, and the company soon after announced that the next sale will be conducted via the open sale model, therefore registration will not be required. The company has not yet announced the number of units it will make available for the open sale. Last week s sale was over in 6 minute 56 seconds.

Xiaomi launched the Mi Band in India in April alongside the global launch of the Mi 4i. The Mi Band is a fitness tracker that keeps a track of users steps, workouts and sleep pattern. Additionally, the smart band also sends users missed call alerts via vibrations. It also boasts a feature that will automatically unlock your Android smartphone if you are holding the smartphone in the same hand as the Mi Band.

As per the company, the Mi Band has a battery life of up to 30 days, and is also IP67 certified, which makes it resistant to water and dust. It is connects to smartphones via Bluetooth 4.0, and is compatible with Android smartphones as well as iPhones.
