Besides launching the Redmi Note 3, Xiaomi today also launched the new Mi Bluetooth Speaker at its event in India. Priced at Rs 1,999, the speaker boasts an aluminum body and looks like a pencil box. It will be offered in a range of colors including Blue, Gold and Pink, and will be available for purchase later this month around Holi.
One of the talking points of the Mi Bluetooth Speaker is the built-in mic and the microSD card slot. The mic lets you make and receive calls wirelessly when connected to a smartphone. On the other hand, the microSD card slot lets you listen to your favorite songs directly on the speakers, without having to connect with a smartphone.
In terms of specifications, the Mi Bluetooth Speaker is armed with a 1,500mAh battery, which Xiaomi claims is good enough to offer up to eight hours of music playback. With maximum output power of 3W, the speaker has a frequency response of 85Hz-20KHz.
The speaker includes Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity and an AUX-in port as well, letting you connect your smartphones, tablets and other devices. With dimensions of 168×24.5x58mm, it weighs just 270 grams.
Xiaomi also announced a 20,000mAh power bank with two USB ports and support for fast charging. While the company didn’t reveal any pricing details, it is expected to launch in India in the coming months.
