Following its series of product launches ahead of Singles Day, Xiaomi is now set to launch another product. According to its latest teaser, the company might unveil the latest iteration of its Mi Box. Slated to launch tomorrow, the fourth-generation Mi TV Box is expected to come with artificial intelligence capabilities. The set-top box will be accompanied with a redesigned remote controller. While the predecessors, Mi Box 3 and Mi Box 3 Enhanced, bear resemblance to the Apple TV including the controller, the poster teasing the upcoming Mi Box doesn t detail the appearance of the set-top box, but given the increased similarity found in most of Xiaomi s products, we can expect the fourth-gen box to be no different. While the poster doesn t reveal much, it is expected that the Mi Box will feature a magazine page layout and categorize content based on viewing habits of users. Underlying this is machine learning and artificial intelligence, which enable the device to serve customized content based on history of content consumption pattern. Other than revealing the poster for the Mi Box, Xiaomi s Weibo account also unveiled a new poster featuring the new remote that will go with the artificial intelligence feature of the new box. The poster shows yesteryear s Mi remotes alongside the silhouette of the new remote. Based on the image, it also appears as if the remote is touch-enabled. A report on GizmoChina notes that the fourth-gen Mi Remote will be voice controlled, which will allow users to basically talk to their remotes to navigate through TV or internet content. Although there is no word about the OS that Mi Box will run, if Xiaomi s recent launch of Android TV set-up in the US is taken into account, there are chances that the fourth-gen TV box will run Android Marshmallow and not Android TV.
