Xiaomi Mi Max 3 could possibly launch on July 3

If not the Mi Max 3 then Xiaomi is expected to launch the Hatsune Edition for the Mi 6X

Xiaomi just launched Redmi 6 Pro and the Mi Pad 4 recently. Now the company seems to be getting ready to launch yet another smartphone on July 3, and rumors hint it to be the Mi Max 3. The smartphone was also spotted on TENAA certification site recently, suggesting towards a possible launch, while also revealing most of its specifications.

The news was reported by a Chinese website called IT Home, which claims Xiaomi’s AI assistant, Xiao AI to confirm the news about the company getting ready to unveil a new device on July 3. However, other speculations also hint towards the device being the Hatsune Edition for the Mi 6X smartphone. As the company has just introduced Redmi 6 Pro, it’s highly likely that Xiaomi will follow it up with the Mi Max 3. However, nothing is confirmed yet, and we’ll just have to wait for an official word from Xiaomi.

Xiaomi Mi Max 3 specifications and features 

Going by the TENAA listing, the Mi Max 3 is said to come with a 6.9-inch FHD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is likely to be powered by a Snapdragon 636 SoC, featuring clock speeds of 1.8 GHz. However, other reports have also suggested a Snapdragon 710 for the top end variant of the smartphone.  Underneath the hood, the device is said to be running on a 5,400mAh battery alongside Android 8.1, possibly layered with MIUI 10.

The listing carries three variants for the Mi Max 3 that feature model numbers of M1804E4C, M1804E4T, and M1804E4A. The former is said to come with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage, while the latter two are expected to come in options of 3GB RAM with 32 GB internal storage, 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage, and 6GB RAM with 128GB.

In the camera department, Mi Max 3 is touted to be carrying a single 12-megapixel sensor at the back. However, there have been rumors about a dual-rear camera setup taking its place. At the front, the company has opted for a 5-megapixel camera for the M1804E4C model number, while the other two models are suggested to come with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
