After Xiaomi’s official teasing of the Mi Max 3 retail box yesterday, now the phone s LCD display assembly has surfaced online, ahead of the official launch. The alleged LCD screen assembly listed to be of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Max 3 by Alibaba suggests that the big screen phablet will not feature a notch on top of the display but will have a full-screen display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Xiaomi is expected to launch its next-generation Mi Max smartphone later this month. First on Monday, Xiaomi’s founder and CEO Lei Jun posted an image of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Max 3’s retail box with a message on Weibo, and later the same was posted by Xiaomi’s spokesperson Donovan Sung on Twitter. The box looked very similar to what we have already seen with current generation Xiaomi smartphone packaging. On the front, it prints the big Max 3 moniker towards the left bottom corner with MI branding up top in the right corner.
The previous rumor chain also included pricing of the Xiaomi Mi Max 3, which was spotted on Xiaomi s official website. Although the page was taken down later.
The alleged pricing of Mi Max 3 is tipped to be RMB 1,699 (approximately Rs 17,700) for the 6GB RAM variant. It is expected to come in a 4GB model as well, and expected to be priced lower. Based on rumors, the Mi Max 3 is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor and then it is also expected to have a Pro variant with a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 AIE octa-core processor and up to 6GB of RAM.
The battery is tipped for a massive 5500mAh capacity with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support. Along with Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box, the rear fingerprint sensor and an IR blaster is expected to remain standard in Mi Max 3.
Other rumored specifications include, a dual-camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture, and a 20-megapixel secondary sensor. For selfies, the Mi Max 3 can boast of an 8-megapixel shooter with AI Face Unlock. The Mi Max 3 Pro variant, is expected to have a higher resolution front camera (may be of 16-megapixel).
