Just last week, Xiaomi launched the big-screen Mi Max 3 in China, and now there are rumors about a Pro version of the phablet. The alleged Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Pro has been spotted by ITHome on Qualcomm’s website with Snapdragon 710 processor onboard.
Previously, rumor chain had hinted at a Pro variant with Snapdragon 710 SoC, however, Xiaomi did not reveal any such variant alongside the Xiaomi Mi Max 3. There are reports of it been spotted on third-party retailer JD.com as well, apart from the appearance on Qualcomm’s website. Anyhow, if there is a Pro variant then there is a possibility it might just be for the Chinese market, and may get release soon.
Currently, Xiaomi only has the Mi Max 3, and it is only available in China with Snapdragon 636 chipset. The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is priced at RMB 1,699 (Rs 17,300 approximately) for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage variant, and RMB 1,999 (Rs 20,400 approximately) for the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage variant. As for India, the smartphone is expected to launch in the month of October.
Xiaomi Mi Max 3 specifications and features
The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 comes with a 6.9-inch (2160×1080 pixels) Full HD+ display that has a ratio of 18:9, and an IPS panel. The phone has a metal back panel, and is topped by a 2.5D curved glass with 1500:1 contrast ratio, 84 percent NTSC color gamut. On the inside, the phone is run by a 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 636 14nm SoC and an Adreno 509 GPU.
The Mi Max 3 comes with a 4GB LPDDR4x RAM along with 64GB (eMMC 5.1) internal storage. The device runs MIUI based on Android 8.1 Oreo, and has a hybrid dual-SIM tray. The battery on the phone is of 5,500mAh capacity, and comes with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging, along with parallel charging.

Coming to the optics on the device, the Mi Max 3 sports a dual-rear camera setup of 12-megapixel+5-megapixel. The front camera has an 8-megapixel sensor with a soft LED flash. Both cameras on the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 come with AI features that can detect 206 scenes, and have an AI voice assistant. The front-facing camera comes with support for face unlock.
