Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Mi Max in India on June 30. Xiaomi VP Hugo Barra today revealed the launch date on Twitter, “Something BIG is coming to blow you away on 30th June, Indian Mi fans! Stay tuned.” The Mi Max with a massive 6.44-inch display certainly qualifies as big, and it was launched in China last month. Three variants of the Xiaomi Mi Max were launched in China — 32GB, 64GB and 128GB variants priced at 1,499 Yuan (Rs 15,300 approximately), 1,699 Yuan (Rs 17,500 approximately), 1,999 Yuan (Rs 20,500 approximately) respectively. The phablet went on sale in China last month itself, and Xiaomi revealed that it had received over 16 million registrations for the first flash sale.

Xiaomi Mi Max specifications, features: The Mi Max flaunts a full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display, is powered by Qualcomm s Snapdragon 650 hexa-core processor or a Snapdragon 652 processor. The 32GB variant features the Snapdragon 650 chipset paired with 3GB of RAM. The 64GB and 128GB variants are powered by Snapdragon 652 chipset paired with 3GB and 4GB of RAM respectively.

The Mi Max also features a 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF support, 5-megpaixel wide-angle selfie camera, and a 4,850mAh battery with Quick Charge support. Connectivity options include 4G LTE with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS and Bluetooth.
While there is no word on the India pricing, based on the list of specifications and features, the Mi Max will be up against the likes of the YU Yureka Note, Lenovo Phab Plus and Samsung Galaxy A9 to name a few.
