Only the base 32GB variant will be available today, here's everything you need to know.


Xiaomi launched the Mi Max in India last week, with prices starting from Rs 14,999, and the phablet is all set to go on sale for the first time today. The first flash sale on kicks off at 2:00PM today. While Xiaomi launched two variants, only the base variant — 32GB with 3GB RAM — will be on sale today. Registrations for the phablet kicked off last week post the launch, but the window is now closed. Xiaomi Mi Max was launched in China in May and the company had received a total of 10 million registrations for its first flash sale. It has however not revealed how many registrations it has received so far in India.

Xiaomi Mi Max specifications, features: The phablet features a 6.44-inch full HD (1080p) display, and the 32GB variant is powered by Qualcomm s Snapdragon 650 hexa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. There is also an option to expand the internal storage to expand the internal storage.

The Mi Max sports a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megpaixel selfie camera. The Mi Max is equipped with a 4,850mAh battery with Qualcomm s Quick Charge support. Connectivity options include 4G LTE with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS and Bluetooth. The Mi Max runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will soon receive MIUI 8.

Besides the Mi Max, Xiaomi is today also conducting an open sale for the Redmi Note 3. The smartphone will be available across major e-commerce platforms including Flipkart and Snapdeal. While launching the Mi Max , Xiaomi had announced that it had managed to sell over a million Redmi Note 3 smartphones in India.
