There have been many rumors about the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, and the latest claims that the Mi MIX successor will launch on September 12. The leak also adds that the Mi MIX 2 will come in two variants one with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, and the other with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The leak, first spotted by mydrivers, also reveals the alleged pricing of the Mi MIX 2. The base variant will be priced at RMB 3,999 (Rs 38,400 approximately), while the top variant will set you back by RMB 4,999 (Rs 48,000 approximately). Previous rumors have also hinted at an even more affordable variant that is said to feature 128GB storage, and 4GB of RAM.
Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun had already confirmed that the company has collaborated with Phillipe Starck for the design of the Mi MIX 2. The French designer also designed the Mi MIX last year. This year though, the Mi MIX 2 is likely to boast as much as 93 percent screen-to-body ratio.
The MI MIX 2 has also been spotted on benchmarking sites recently, which reveal some of the upcoming smartphone’s specifications and features. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is expected to feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2540 1440 pixels. Under the hood, we can expect a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core SoC. On the camera front, the smartphone is said to sport a 12-megapixel Sony s IMX386 camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. Rumors have also suggested that the smartphone might keep up with the current industry trend, and feature a dual-camera setup at the back.
