With less than a month to the launch, there’s been no stopping the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s leaks. Now, an alleged leaked photo of the upcoming smartphone has surfaced online giving us a look at some of the specifications.
The photo shared by Slashleaks shows the front of the Mi MIX 2s with the screen on. The alleged photo seems to show the MIUI settings screen, which reveals the phone’s name as well as some specifications. As per the photo, the Mi MIX 2s will flaunt a 6.1-inch full HD+ (2160×1080 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. This is in line with previous leaks.
The smartphone is also likely to come with 8GB of RAM, 256GB storage, and will be backed by a 4,400mAh battery. As per the new leak, the device is likely to come with a 16-megapixel rear camera. This is however in contrast to previous reports that hint at a dual-camera setup. On the software front, the smartphone will mostly run MIUI 184.108.40.206.
In addition to what this leak reveals, we already know that the Mi MIX 2s will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 845 SoC. Performance is clearly the focus here, and the company’s teaser for the March 27 too hinted at it. The teaser prominently featured the digits ‘273741’, which is the device’s AnTuTu score. Incidentally, this score is higher than what has been achieved by the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Sony Xperia XZ2.
Besides performance, the highlight of the upcoming Mi MIX 2s will remain its design. Xiaomi will retain the edge-to-edge design, and some reports claim that the company could slightly increase the screen-to-body ratio. There are also rumors about the device featuring an in-display fingerprint sensor, but we would advise you to take it with the proverbial pinch of salt.
