If all the rumors are anything to go by, Xiaomi is going to push the Mi MIX 3’s bezel-less design to the next level. It is no doubt keen to take on the likes of the Vivo NEX and the Oppo Find X. While, we have come across quite a few leaks before, the Mi MIX 3’s design may just have been confirmed by none other than Xiaomi.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 3’s design was briefly spotted on screenshots inside MIUI 10. At the time of filing this story, the screenshots have been taken down, but not before they were spotted by Playfuldroid.
The first screenshot shows a Xiaomi device with what looks like a dedicated AI button placed on the left side. The second screenshot clearly shows the extremely thin bezels around the device’s screen. Both screenshots correspond to a Xiaomi device that is yet to be launched.
But the bezel-less nature of the depicted device is why this is speculated to be the Mi MIX 3. Besides the extremely thin bezels, the chin at the bottom is also considerably thinner than what is seen on the Mi MIX 2s. The overall design is in line with the leaks we have come across so far.
Another thing worth noting is the absence of a front facing camera in both the screenshots. If previous rumors are anything to go by, the Mi MIX 3 will feature some kind of pop-up mechanism for its camera. This mechanism could either be inspired by the Vivo NEX or the Oppo Find X.
Watch: Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s First Look
Based on what we have come across so far, the Mi MIX 3 is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, and boast wireless charging capabilities. Recently, a Qi-certified Mi wireless charging pad got certified, which is widely expected to be launching alongside the Mi MIX 3. Speaking of which, reports claim that Xiaomi will launch its bezel-less flagship device sometime in the month of September.
