Xiaomi has officially confirmed that its upcoming Mi Mix 3 flagship smartphone will come with 5G support and a massive 10GB RAM. Soon after the teaser, now the handset has appeared in a leaked video showcasing Face Unlock.
The 4-second video of alleged Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 shows quick Face Unlock with a laptop in background, which interestingly unlocks with phone’s Face Unlock as well. If you are wondering, how is that possible, then it is nothing but a Windows 10 feature called the Dynamic Lock. What it appears from the video is that the user connected alleged Mi Mix 3 over Bluetooth and using Windows 10 Dynamic Lock feature it unlocked the laptop as well.
The third generation Mi Mix smartphone from Xiaomi is likely to keep bezel-less design and there will be no notch. Xiaomi has already teased “slide-out cameras”, so it confirms that notch is not coming in Mi Mix 3.
Going by the recent poster published by the company on Weibo, Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 is likely to get official on October 25. The event will be held Beijing, China.
Xiaomi’s Global Spokesperson and Director of Product Management, Donovan Sung, recently shared two teaser images of the smartphone and one of the image confirmed that the Mi MIX 3 will arrive in four different colors.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 3: Expected Specifications
Under the hood, the Mi MIX 3 is expected to get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, also powering company’s flagship Mi 8 smartphone. It will feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED display and is expected to offer nearly 100 percent screen-to-body ratio. It is also rumored to include an in-display fingerprint sensor instead of the traditional sensor seen on the back of the smartphone.

On the camera front, the Mi MIX 3 is likely to feature dual rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel and 13-megapixel sensors. At the front, there will be a 20-megapixel selfie shooter with additional sensors for 3D facial recognition. It will run MIUI 10 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and is expected to support 18W fast charging.
