It’s been a couple of months since the launch of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2. But that isn’t stopping the rumor mills from treating us to some news on the next-generation Mi MIX 3.

A photo showing an alleged back panel of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 has surfaced online, courtesy of Slashleaks. The back panel is quite different from what we have seen in the first two Mi MIX smartphones. For one, the upcoming smartphone is likely to boast dual cameras. The setup is quite similar to what is seen on the Apple iPhone X. The only other thing revealed in the leak is the cutout for a circular fingerprint sensor.

It is difficult to comment on the authenticity of this leak. It is also too early to guess when Xiaomi plans to launch the smartphone, especially since there have also been leaks around the Mi MIX 2s. A recent leak allegedly showed what the smartphone will look like. While the overall bezel-less design has been retained, the render shows a strange little notch at the top-right corner.

In the meantime, Xiaomi is focused on its next flagship device – Mi 7. Recently, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun confirmed that the upcoming smartphone will be among the first batch of devices to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 845 processor.

Based on what we have come across so far, the Xiaomi Mi 7 is expected to come with a 6.01-inch OLED display, 6GB of RAM, dual rear cameras, and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. Previous rumors also suggested that the Xiaomi Mi 7 will likely support Qi standard wireless charging. A recent leak also hinted at a RMB 2,699 price tag that is approximately Rs 26,500.
