While there is yet to be any official announcement, Xiaomi is widely expected to launch the Mi MIX 3 sometime next month. We have come across quite a few leaks in the run-up to the launch. Now, another set of leaked photos has surfaced online, which hints at a tweaked design.
The photos have surfaced on Weibo, courtesy of Slashleaks, and they show the back panel and chin of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi MIX 3. The glass back panel shows a dual-camera module placed at the center with the flash placed below it. There’s no fingerprint sensor seen anywhere, which is further proof that Xiaomi will be opting for an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Another leaked photo shows the chin of the Mi MIX 3, which is visibly slimmer than what we have seen on the older models. This would potentially translate to a greater screen-to-body ratio than before. Also seen in the leaked photo are the USB Type-C port, and speaker grille at the bottom edge.
Another image has surfaced on Xiaomiui, which is essentially the outline of the Mi MIX 3 and the 2018.09 below it. This all but confirms that the Mi MIX 3 will be launching sometime next month. Previous rumors have hinted at September 15 being the alleged date of launch, but there’s no official announcement yet.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 rumored specifications, features
A few leaks have hinted at specs like Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC paired with Adreno 630 GPU under the hood, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB internal storage. This time around Xiaomi is also expected to include wireless charging support, may opt for a pop-up selfie camera to keep the device truly bezel-less.
