Xiaomi had recently confirmed that it would be launching the highly anticipated Mi MIX 3 smartphone on October 25. However, the company did not reveal the venue and timing of the Mi MIX 3 launch event at the time. Today, it has.
Xiaomi has taken to Weibo to reveal that the successor of the Mi MIX 2s will be announced at The Palace Museum located in the Forbidden City in Beijing. The event will kick off at 2:00 PM local time, which translates to 11:30AM IST. According to Xiaomi, the upcoming Mi MIX 3 will be the world’s first smartphone to arrive with 10GB of RAM. Moreover, the company has also claimed it will be the world’s first commercial 5G smartphone.
One of the major highlights of the Mi MIX 3 will be its very high screen-to-body ratio, which will be achieved by opting for a manual slider design. Xiaomi has also revealed that the slider of the smartphone will feature a 24-megapixel selfie camera.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 rumored specifications
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 is speculated to be equipped with a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset under the hood. The rear side of the phone is expected to feature a 16-megapixel+13-megapixel dual camera setup that will carry support for 960fps ultra slow-motion video shooting. The exact size of the phone’s battery is not known yet, but the company has confirmed that it will be carry support for faster wireless charging. If we were to hazard a guess, it may support 10W or higher wireless charging rate.

Even though only two days are remaining for the announcement, the Mi MIX 3 has not appeared on China’s TENAA yet. Hence, the full specifications of the smartphone are still under the wraps. Recent reports though have claimed that there will be multiple variants of the Mi MIX 3 featuring 128GB storage+6GB RAM, 128GB storage+8GB of RAM, and 128GB storage+6GB RAM. Black, Emerald Green and Sapphire are the rumored color editions for the smartphone. There is no information available on the pricing of the smartphone.
