Xiaomi Mi MIX 3, the third-generation bezel-less smartphone has been launched in China. The flagship device was launched at an event in Beijing as company’s answer to upcoming OnePlus 6T and other Chinese devices like the Oppo Find X and Huawei Mate 20 Pro. The Mi MIX 3 comes as the successor to the Mi MIX 2S and brings a truly edge-to-edge display design.

Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 starts at RMB 3,299 (around Rs 34,800) for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. The variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at RMB 3,599 (around Rs 38,000) while the 256GB storage variant will set you back by RMB 3,999 (around Rs 42,200). The top-end model with 10GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at a whopping RMB 4,999 (around Rs 52,800) and will be called Forbidden City. Xiaomi Mi MIX 3: Specifications and Features
The Mi MIX 3 features a 6.39-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone comes with a screen-to-body ratio of 93.4 percent, putting it among devices with the highest screen-to-body ratio. In terms of performance, the Mi MIX 3 features Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled with 10GB of RAM and 256GB storage.
As noted earlier, the base model comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. Consequently, consumers can upgrade to models with 8GB RAM and option for either 128GB or 256GB internal storage. With the Mi MIX 3, Xiaomi seems to put its efforts behind camera performance, which has not been great in its previous flagships.
On the back, the Mi MIX 3 features a combination of dual 12-megapixel image sensors with the primary sensor supporting optical image stabilization and wider f/1.8 aperture. The secondary 12-megapixel sensor offers roughly 2x optical image stabilization and a slower f/2.4 aperture. The camera is also supported by dual LED flash and phase detection autofocus. The Mi MIX 3 has scored an impressive 103 in DxOMark’s lab tests, putting it in the same league as that of Samsung Galaxy Note 9.

In terms of design, the Mi MIX 3 features metal casing with glass back that supports wireless charging. There is also a slider mechanism for the front camera setup while the fingerprint sensor is placed on the back. It is backed by a 4,000mAh battery with 10W wireless charging support.
