We have been hearing about the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 aka Xiaomi Note 2 for quite some time. A few rumors said that the smartphone will be unveiled on July 25, couple of days before Xiaomi s China event where it is likely to launch the Xiaomi Redmi Pro. Now, popular analyst Pan Jiutang has revealed that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 could be launched in August. The latest bit is in line with Xiaomi co-founder Liwan Jiang s recent comment that the company will launch its high-end products in August. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is likely to be a high-end device with Snapdragon 821 processor and 6GB of RAM. Right now there s no word on the Mi Note 2 Pro, which has also been rumored to be launched alongside the Mi Note 2.
As mentioned earlier, Xiaomi is holding an event in China on July 27 where the company is most likely to unveil the Redmi Pro. The company has already dropped big hints about the smartphone in couple of teasers. There are also rumors that the company may finally launch the Mi laptops.

Based on what we have come across so far, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will feature a 5.7-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 821 processor, and it will come in three variants 32GB (4GB RAM), 64GB (6GB RAM), and 128GB (6GB RAM).

The phablet is also expected to feature a 16-megapixel rear camera, 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support, and connectivity options like ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, NFC and 4G support. The top-end 128GB variant is also rumored to boast a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge-like curved display with pressure sensitive technology.

According to rumors, the Mi Note 2 Pro will feature a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) AMOLED display with 500-nit brightness, and will be powered by Qualcomm s latest Snapdragon 821 chipset. It is expected to launch in two variants 64GB variant with 4GB RAM, and 128GB variant with 6GB RAM.

The smartphone will also feature a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and four-axis optical image stabilization, 3,700mAh battery and a fingerprint scanner embedded into the home button up front.
