Xiaomi is all set to launch its upcoming flagship, the Mi 6, on April 1. The company could be launching another smartphone with flagship-level capabilities later this year, and the device in question is the Mi Note 3. Its predecessor the Mi Note 2 was launched last October as the company s first smartphone with dual-edge curved display. The latest report on the Mi Note 3 arises from an unknown source in China which claims that the smartphone will come with massive 8GB of RAM and will run Qualcomm s Snapdragon 835 chipset. The alleged Mi Note 3 is expected to launch somewhere around the second quarter of 2017. According to the report (spotted by PhoneArena), Xiaomi will continue with dual-edge curved display for the Mi Note 3 as well. Xiaomi is also said to have improved its building process. With 8GB of RAM and Snapdragon 835 under its hood, the Mi Note 3 will come out as a power-packed smartphone. In addition to this, the Mi Note 3 is said to come with storage options of 128GB and 256GB. The smartphone is said to feature a 5.7-inch display as seen in the Mi Note 2. The battery size will also be the same as its predecessor’s, which is a massive 4,070mAh cell.
This rumor sparked around this time couldn t have a better timing as another smartphone with a similar set of specifications has been doing rounds online. OnePlus next flagship, presumed to be the OnePlus 5 was recently spotted online and has been rumored to come with 8GB RAM and Qualcomm s Snapdragon 835 chipset. The OnePlus 5 is also rumored to launch during the second half of 2017. The timeframe for the launch of the OnePlus 5 and the Mi Note 3 are quite similar not forgetting the expected specifications. The OnePlus 5 and the Mi Note 3 are currently the latest smartphones to be rumored with 8GB of RAM which doesn t seem very surprising considering how both the Chinese companies are very ambitious.
