Xiaomi has updated its Mi Notebook Air with the latest eighth generation Intel Core processors in China. Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inch can now be configured with either 8th generation Core i5 or Core i7 chipsets along with discrete NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics card. The 8th generation Intel Core i5-8250U has four cores, and eight threads and maximum clock frequency of 3.4GHz. The Core i7-8550U model also has four cores, eight threads, and maximum clock frequency of 4GHz. The notebook comes standard with 8GB RAM, 256GB PCIe SSD storage and supports hard disk expansion. There is also 2GB discrete graphics memory to support programs like Adobe Premiere Pro for video editors and casual gaming. The 13.3-inch screen has a full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels with a viewing angle of 170-degree, and brightness of 300 nits. The Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inch can also drive two external 4K displays.
In terms of port selection, the Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inch offers one USB Type-C port, one HDMI port, and two USB Type-A ports. The notebook also comes with a fingerprint sensor integrated with the trackpad. The keyboard is backlit, and there is AKG-tuned speakers with Dolby Audio support. It also supports Intel dual antenna Wi-Fi receiver with support for both 2.4GHz as well as 5GHz bands.
The Mi Notebook Air sports a 1-megapixel front camera for video calling, and packs a 40Watt battery with Xiaomi claiming eight hours of online video playback. The laptop supports fast charging via USB Type-C port. It comes pre-installed with Windows 10 Home Edition, and its prices start from RMB 5,399 (approximately Rs 54,000). Prices for the Mi Notebook Air with 7th generation Core chipsets, on the other hand, start from RMB 4,599 (approximately Rs 46,000).
