As expected, Xiaomi today launched its new laptop in China. Called the Mi Notebook Air 4G, the laptop comes with 4G connectivity, which includes Cat.4 4G LTE support capable of delivering download speeds up to 150Mbps. Xiaomi has tied up with China Mobile to offer 4GB data per month with the new laptop. The Mi Notebook Air 4G comes in two screen sizes — 12.5-inch and 13.3-inch — priced at RMB 4,699 (Rs 45,900 approximately) and RMB 6,999 (Rs 68,300 approximately) respectively. Besides 4G connectivity, the Mi Notebook Air 4G comes with a metallic body and is available in two color options — gold and silver. The two variants come with a similar set of specifications with minor changes like the 12.5-inch model comes with standard Intel Core m3 6Y30 processor, whereas the 13.3-inch variant has Intel Core i7 processor. The Mi Notebook Air 4G is the second laptop from Xiaomi, which earlier this year had introduced the Mi Notebook Air. In comparison, the Mi Notebook Air 4G is more expensive than the predecessor, which was available with a starting price of RMB 3,499 (Rs 35,300 approximately). Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 4G Specifications
First up is the 12.5-inch variant. The display has 1920×1080 pixels full HD resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, 170-degree wide viewing angle, 300 nits brightness and 600:1 contrast ration. It runs Windows 10 operating system, and is powered by an Intel Core m3 6Y30 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM, 128GB SSD and additional SSD expansion slot. For video conferencing, it comes with 1-megapixel HD web camera and digital array microphone.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE support, Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11ac 2 2 (2.4GHz and 5GHz), USB 3.0 (x1), HDMI and USB Type-C. The laptop comes with dual 1W speakers with Dolby audio. The second variant has 13.3-inch display with 1920×1080 pixels full HD resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, 170-degree wide-viewing angle, 300 nits brightness and 800:1 contrast ratio. It also runs Windows 10 operating system and is powered by Intel Core i7 processor with 1GB DDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GT 940MX GPU, 8G DDR4 2133MHz RAM, 256GB of SSD and additional SSD expandable storage.
It has 1-megapixel HD webcam and digital array microphone. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac 2 2 (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, USB Type-C. It also comes with dual 2W speakers with Dolby audio. The laptop comes with 40Wh battery, which the company claims can deliver up to 9.5 hours of battery life.
