Xiaomi chose to kick start its Beijing event today with the launch of the Mi Notebook Pro. The notebook is Xiaomi’s answer to the 2017 Apple MacBook Pro, and boasts a lighter, thinner design. Prices for the Mi Notebook Pro starts at at RMB 5,599 (approximately Rs 55,000), with two more models priced at RMB 6,399 (approximately Rs 62,900) and RMB 6,999 (approximately Rs 68,700). The Mi Notebook Pro is available in Dark Gray color.
One of the highlights of the Mi Notebook Pro is that it comes with a fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. The fingerprint sensor is located on the top right corner of the touchpad, and is powered by Microsoft Windows Hello. The Mi Notebook Pro is wrapped in magnesium alloy material. For audio, the Mi Notebook Pro features Harman Infinity speakers, along with Dolby ATMOS support. The Mi Notebook Pro also comes with a backlit keypad, which is covered with 0.3mm concave keycaps.

In terms of specifications, the Mi Notebook Pro features a 15.6-inch display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 on top for protection. It is powered by Intel’s 8th generation i7 core processor clocked at 4GHz. For graphics, the Mi Notebook Pro is equipped with NVIDIA GeForce MX150.
