Hinted only two days ago, Xiaomi today added to its laptop series by launching the new Xiaomi Mi Notebook in China. The new laptop takes its place in the budget segment, and comes with basic set of features that are more targeted towards office going professionals.
According to an image put up on Weibo, the laptop will be available in three configurations starting at price of RMB 3,999 (approximately Rs 40,800), and going all the way up to RMB 4,499 (approximately Rs 45,900), and RMB 4,999 (approximately Rs 51,000). For that price the laptop features 8th generation Intel Core processors and SSD storage. Mi Notebook is said to go one sale in China from August 28. Xiaomi hasn’t mentioned about launching the laptop in other markets.
Xiaomi Mi Notebook features and specifications
The base variant of the laptop comes powered by an 8th-gen Intel Core i5 processor bundled with 4GB of RAM, while the mid-range variant comes with the same chipset, but with 8GB of RAM. The top-end variant, on the other hand, is loaded with an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, and 8GB of RAM. Besides this, other specifications are more or less the same, including a 15.6-inch full HD screen.
The Mi Notebook comes with 1TB of hard drive, tagged alongside 128GB of SSD. The combination provides both the big storage space as well as speed. In the graphics department, the laptop features an Nvidia GeForce MX110 GPU with 2GB of VRAM. It’s more of an entry-level GPU, so it’s not going to handle gaming applications well, but then again, it’s not meant too.

Connectivity options include two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI port, Ethernet port, Card reader, and a headphone jack. It also features Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. The Mi Notebook carries a simple design, which features a full-sized keyboard with a number pad. It will be available in two color variants of Deep Gray and White.
