Unlike all other Xiaomi products, buyers will not have to register for the Mi Pad. They can just head over to Flipkart tomorrow and purchase the tablet without the fear of getting flashed by the ‘Out Of Stock’ sign. This is the first time Xiaomi has moved away from the flash sale model while launching a new product in India. Also Read - Best wearable gift ideas under Rs 5,000 for Father's Day 2021
The tablet was first launched in China back in May last year. As for the specifications, it flaunts a 7.9-inch (2048 1536 pixels) display with 326ppi, 4:3 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood is a 2.2GHz Nvidia Tegra K1 processor with 192-core Kepler GPU, paired with 2GB of RAM.
The tablet also features an 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card, 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a non-removable 6,700mAh battery, which the company claims is good enough for 11 hours of music playback, eight hours of video playback and 1,300 hours on standby mode. On the software front, the tablet runs on MIUI 6 out-of-the-box.
