Xiaomi Mi Panoramic 360-degree camera with IP67 rating launched in China

Xiaomi Mi Panoramic 360-degree camera launched with fisheye lens on front and back in China today for CNY1699.

Adding to its extended product portfolio other than smartphones, Xiaomi launched its latest Mi Panoramic camera. The camera was launched along with Mi Pad 3 in China and is priced at 1699 CNY, which roughly translates into Rs 16000.

Xiaomi Mi Panoramic camera is compactly built in square shape with curved edges. The new compact action camera features a 23.88 megapixel sensor and could capture 360-degree panorama images. Also, the Mi Panoramic camera delivers 3.5K video recording. The action camera features a fisheye lens at the front and rear for capturing 360-degree view. While the camera is capable of capturing panoramic images, it does come with four other modes to capture different styles and can certainly be used as a regular action camera.


Mi Panaromic camera features & specifications

The camera comes with software enabled 6-axis Electronic Image stabilization function to prevent shaky images. It is also powered by Anba A12 Image processor coupled with Sony IMX206 image sensor. Although, the camera comes with pre-loaded image processing apps, the photos captured can be edited via independent third party apps as well.


The device packs a 1600mAh non-removable battery which could record for up to 75 minutes of 360 degree videos while WiFi connection is on. The same can extend up to 90 minutes without WiFi connectivity. ALSO READ: Apple says Mac Pro being redesigned, set to launch in 2018 with a modular design

Another highlight on Mi Panoramic camera is its IP67 rating, making it dust-proof and waterproof. Which also means the camera can capture images in rough conditions and underwater as well. You can carry the camera to pool or to off-road tours.

In terms of connectivity, the device has WiFi, Bluetooth and Micro USB port for charging and file transfers.

Mi Panoramic camera would go on sale on April 6 via Xiaomi Mall, Mi Mall, Lynx, Jingdong and Suning.
