Xiaomi had teased on Weibo yesterday that it would be launching a new Mi TV in China. Rumors going around hinted at a new Mi TV 4S series, and these have come to be true. Xiaomi has launched it’s biggest Mi TV to date with the introduction of the 75-inch Mi TV 4S. Its highlights include a premium metal body, 4K screen, and PatchWall UI with AI voice recognition.

Talking about design, the front is dominated by the display with razor-thin bezels like the 65-inch model. Its body is built out of aviation-grade aluminum, and brushed metal coated with a Silver-Grey metallic paint. Overall, it’s a premium-looking product.

The 75-inch Mi TV 4S screen has 4K Ultra HD resolution, and is also HDR-ready. It is very similar to the 65-inch Mi TV launched in India a while back, but differs in some hardware aspects. Its features the same 64-bit A53 quad-core processor that is accompanied with 2GB of RAM. Storage is 8GB as compared to the Indian model that has 32GB memory. Apart from these vitals, it also has built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and DTS-HD Dolby Audio.

The 75-inch Mi TV 4S runs on Xiaomi’s own PatchWall interface that features voice recognition as well. In India, this was facilitated by Google Assistant but that doesn’t seem to be the case for the Chinese variant. The TV is accompanied by a remote which is very minimalistic and has very few buttons. There’s a dedicated button to activate the voice recognition pretty much like the Indian version.

Xiaomi has priced the new 4K TV very aggressively at RMB 7,999 (Rs 82,100 approximately). According to a study from Ovi Cloud, the average 75-inch TV price in China is double that – 14,239 yuan. The aggressively priced TV goes on sale on November 23 at Xiaomi Mall.
