Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi launched the Mi4 earlier this year, and it seems the company is already working on its successor. Leaked photos of what appears to be the Mi5 have leaked directly from a production line from somewhere in China. With the Mi4, Xiaomi offered little hardware improvements while giving the phone a major design overhaul. The company seems to go with the same strategy with the Mi5. From the leaked images, the phone has significantly thinner bezels, and a screen which appears to be larger than 5-inch with slight curved edges. From the images, the phone s design share a striking resemblance with the iPhone 6 Plus and HTC One (M8). It also appears to have significantly thinner waistline. But what hardware improvements will the phone come with still remains to be known. The Mi4, while being an incremental upgrade over Mi3, didn t actually offer any major specs improvements. The consumers are ought to have high hopes with the Mi5.
Meanwhile, the Mi4 is yet to be launched in India. The phone is expected to launch by the end of this year, as noted by Xiaomi s vice president of international operations, Hugo Barra in the comments section of a BGR India s story.
