By now we all know that Chinese company Xiaomi is now much more than just a smartphone maker. While the company is known for its smartphones, its ecosystem of smart products is also gaining widespread attention. Of late, Xiaomi has been adding several products to its line-up. The latest move comes as it hopes to expand its horizon in the home product. After announcing a smart body scale, and a smart running shoes, the company has now launched a New Cotton Bed Set. The cotton bed set is priced at 449 Yuan, which is Rs 4,100.
The new product, as reported by GizmoChina falls under its MIJIA brand is the 75th crowdfunded product that the company has launched. The ‘Bed Set’ includes beddings, a pair of small pillow as well as another pair of big pillows. The company says that the mattress comes in two sizes, one which is 1.5 metres long and another which is 1.8 meter long. While the former is priced at 449 Yuan (Rs 4,100 approximately), the later will set you back for 499 Yuan (Rs 4,600 approximately). The product is open for funding on the crowdfunding official platform home.mi.com. The company says that the product will start shipping starting May 20.
While there isn’t much information about the new Xiaomi Bed Set, what’s known is that the cotton bed is made from 100 percent organic cotton. The company guarantees that in case in liquid spills, users can easily clean it and it dries fast.
Apart from this, the company has also announced Xiaomi Mi Router 3A. The router is said to be the improved version of the older Mi Router 3C. The new router comes with slight upgrades – the new Mi Router 3A offers 64MB ROM while the previous model offered 16MB. The new router is will retail at a priced of 139 Yuan which is approximately Rs 1,200.
In the recent past, Xiaomi has moved beyond offering just smartphones. Some of these products include a pair of smart shoes embedded with Intel’s Curie module. The 90 Minutes Ultra Smart Sportswear running shoes are priced at 300 Yuan (approximately Rs 2,900) and are Xiaomi’s first smart shoes to come built-in with Intel Curie, which is a button-sized chip that stores fitness data in real-time. Other products includes a smart Ukulele, sunglasses, coffee maker, walkie talkie, smart camera, and WiFi router, among others. The company is further expected to launch a new anti-haze mask for children and a heart rate monitor. We have also seen products such as the Mi Washing Machine, the Mi Robot Vacuum, Umbrella, Super Filter Kettle L1, ‘90 Minutes’ jacket and Wowstick all from the stable of Xiaomi.
