While it was supposed to support Xiaomi Mi 6 initially, the company seems to have suspended the device for unknown reasons. It may be possible that Xiaomi is still fixing bugs for older devices and will release the update once the bugs have been fixed. The update brings a number of improvements including the addition of a World Cup card to the App vault where MIUI 10 users will be able to check out fixtures, results, news and other updates from the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2018.
One of the big update coming with MIUI 10 is support for single-camera portrait mode similar to Google Pixel 2. The feature will allow users of Xiaomi smartphones like the Redmi Note 5 to take pictures with bokeh effect using the single rear camera. Xiaomi claims to have built an AI algorithm using 1,00,000 photos to enable the feature.
The MIUI 10 has been designed with all-screen smartphone designs in mind and it can be seen in the recent apps menu which uses a card-like interface with the apps being placed side-by-side. The MIUI 10 users can see up to 10 apps at the same time and will be able to delete them by swipe gesture from the screen.
