The latest version of Lollipop has been out for quite some time now, Google has also announced the next Android M version, which is set for a commercial roll out in a few months. Xiaomi will put its interface on top of the latest version on Lollipop as usual, with key upgrades, large amount of new functionalities and bug fixes. Information about what’s new with the MIUI 7 is scarce at the moment. Interestingly, MIUI 6 was also announced on the same date last year, testifying further that the company may look to unveil the new UI on the same date this year as well.
MIUI 6 is currently running on many Xiaomi smartphones like the Mi 4, Mi Note, Note Pro and several others. The Redmi Note 4G and the Redmi 1S also got the MIUI 6 update. It is unsure which smartphones will get the MIUI 7 update, but we expect the above mentioned ones to get an update.
