Xiaomi, the leading smartphone brand in the country, will now offer a new smart delivery option on its own platform. The new smart delivery feature is powered by Smartbox, and will be available starting today. Smartbox is a platform that provides a wide range of digital lockers across Delhi NCR region, and will soon expand to other parts of the country as well. The new delivery option allows those making purchase on Xiaomi’s website to opt for a smartbox delivery. With the feature, users can pick Smartbox as their delivery option, and get their online purchase delivered to a digital locker near their location. Users can then pick up their purchase anytime as per their convenience within 72 hours, and the locker can be accessed with a unique one-time password.
The Smartbox delivery option will be extremely useful to those working-class people who won’t be there at home to collect their delivery, and would rather get their products delivered at an alternate address. Xiaomi says adding Smartbox delivery option and allowing users to have their purchases picked up from a safe and convenient location is a step in giving its users choice.

Xiaomi says it gets over 25 million unique monthly visitors on its website every month, and has over 1 million daily active users. The Mi Store app on Google Play has been downloaded over 20 million times, and Xiaomi claims 10 million of them have been organic downloads.
Xiaomi saw tremendous growth in sales last year with its Redmi Note 4 hitting sales of 5 million units while Redmi 4 sales crossed 1 million units mark. In order to make it easier to buy its devices, the Chinese startup introduced pre-order option and with Smartbox, it is adding another level of convenience to buying on its platform.
