Xiaomi launched the Poco F1 in India last month, with a decidedly new approach towards its smartphones. The device subsequently received praise from us for its extreme value on offer, given that the phone sports the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, and up to 8GB of RAM at a starting price of Rs 20,999. Poco F1 buyers will now be pleased to know that the company is rolling out software updates that aim to improve the experience on the device.

The Xiaomi Poco F1 is now receiving an update to MIUI that bumps up the version to build number 9.6.22. In terms of changes, the update brings the Android security patch for August to the phone, along with optimizations and bug fixes. Many of these changes and fixes have been implemented based on feedback from Poco F1 users, as the company seeks to continue to rely on its forums and users for real-time criticism and suggestions.

Some of the other changes in the update include support for face unlock in various countries, UI fixes and design improvements, volume optimization on voice calls, and more. The focus on the update is towards improving the existing feature set, rather than introducing any new features or significant changes.
