Xiaomi recently unveiled the Poco F1 flagship smartphone that features top-of-the-line hardware and is priced aggressively starting at Rs 20,999. It will go on sale starting August 29 (tomorrow) from 12:00PM, exclusively via Flipkart. Now, ahead of the sale, teardown video of the smartphone has surfaced, courtesy of Twitter user @bang_gogo_.

The video highlights two core features of the Poco F1 – the “LiquidCool” heat pipe, and the IR scanner for face unlock. The F1 is the first smartphone powered by Snapdragon 845 to feature “LiquidCool” heat pipe. There is a metal heatspreader placed on the chipset that takes away the heat and dissipates evenly. It then goes under the battery and connects with metal backbone of the phone. And while it may look like an odd arrangement, reports indicate that it works well. We will soon be publishing our review, where we will be talking about the heat pipe at work.

Next, the video also shows the components of IR face scanner. It comes with infrared camera along with an illuminator – both of them are placed beside the front camera and earpiece in the display notch. It is interesting how Xiaomi managed to have such a complicated setup on a phone that is affordably priced.
