Xiaomi recently confirmed that it will be launching its new Pocophone/Poco F1 smartphone in India on August 22. The new smartphone is said to feature high-end hardware, and is expected to come powered with the Snapdragon 845 SoC. While there have been plenty of rumors suggesting that, the smartphone has now been spotted on Geekbench benchmarks, further confirming its chipset and a list of key specifications.
Along with Snapdragon 845 SoC, the Geekbench listing reveals that the device will come with 6GB of RAM, and run Android 8.1 Oreo OS out-of-the-box. The device has managed to get a score of 2,467 in the single-core test, and 9,081 in multi-core test on Geekbench.
Based on previous rumors, the device is suggested to come with a 5.99-inch full HD+ screen with a 19:9 aspect ratio, and a notch at the top. The smartphone is also expected to feature a dual-rear camera setup that is likely to carry a 12-megapixel sensor paired alongside a 5-megapixel sensor. At the front, there is said to be a 20-megapixel camera with IR face unlock feature. Rumors have also touted the device to come with a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. The Android operating system is said to be layered by MIUI 9.5.
With the Poco F1, Xiaomi is clearly targeting the premium smartphone market, which is dominated by the likes of Samsung, OnePlus and Google. A recent report has also touted the smartphone to be priced somewhere between Rs 30,000-40,000.
