Xiaomi has tasted good success in India over the past couple of years, and according to the latest numbers shared by IDC, the Chinese smartphone maker continues to dominate the top spot for fifth straight quarter. To celebrate this news, Xiaomi has given a price cut of Rs 1,000 to three of its popular smartphones.
Manu Kumar Jain tweeted about the good news on his handle. The first is the selfie-centric Redmi Y2 model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, which was priced at Rs 12,999, and is now available for Rs 11,999. The second is the Redmi Note 5 Pro, which was launched for Rs 13,999, but was later hiked to Rs 14,999 after the PCBA import charges were hiked.

Now, with the latest price cut, the base model of Redmi Note 5 Pro with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is again down to Rs 13,999. There is also a 6GB RAM with 64GB storage model which is now priced at Rs 15,999, down from Rs 16,999.

Lastly, the Mi A2, that was launched recently in India, has also received a price cut. The base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is now priced at Rs 15,999, whereas the one with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage will now set you back by Rs 18,999. The Mi A2 and Redmi Y2 are available via Amazon India, whereas the Redmi Note 5 Pro is available via Flipkart. These smartphones are also available via Mi Home stores, and Xiaomi’s online portal.
The Redmi Y2 is a selfie-centric smartphone that comes with a 16-megapixel sensor on the front with AI tweaks. The Redmi Note 5 Pro, on the other hand, brings a dual camera setup at the back along with a bunch of other improvements. Lastly, the Mi A2 is for the ones who love stock Android OS over custom skins. The smartphone comes with full-screen display without any notch, and a much-improved design, bigger battery, among other features.
