Xiaomi has launched a new projector in China, under its MIJIA brand. This is the second projector in the company’s portfolio, after it launched the Mi Laser Projector last year. Unlike last year’s product though, this new projector is under the MIJIA brand, and is considerably cheaper too.
Xiaomi’s new MIJIA projector is priced at RMB 3,999, which translates to approximately Rs 42,200. It will be going on sale in China from June 1 via online and offline channels, Gizmochina reports. In comparison, the Mi Laser Projector was launched with a price tag of RMB 9,999 (approximately Rs 95,000).
Xiaomi MIJIA Projector features
The new MIJIA Projector is capable of projecting a screen with sizes ranging from 40- to 120-inches, and that too from a distance of only three meters.
Xiaomi says the new projector features 2.07 million reflective lenses, and utilizes a new light-path design to increase projection brightness by five percent. There is also OSRAM’s P1W/A lamp beads that help in achieving a maximum brightness level of 800 ANSI lumens. The company says that the lamp’s shelf-life is about 10 years.
