In order to buy the Xiaomi Mi 3 today, you have to first register on Flipkart. With just over an hour till the flagship device goes on sale, the e-commerce site has revealed that it has already scored over 100,000 pre-registrations.

xiaomi-mi-3-india-registrationsThis staggering number shows the kind of buzz Xiaomi has created with its aggressive pricing. 100,000 registrations however don’t mean that every one of them will get their hands on the flagship device. The Chinese company is known to release small batches of devices that tend to run out within minutes. Registered users will have to be quick in order to buy the device, as the availability is on a first-come-first basis.

To recap on the specifications, the Xiaomi Mi 3 features a 5-inch 1080p IPS display, a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. It comes with 13-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 3,050mAh battery and connectivity options like dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and Wi-Fi Direct. On the software front, it runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
