Almost 250,000 users were registered for yesterday’s sale, but just like the last two times, the sale did not go out of stock in seconds. Flipkart, after more than half an hour, announced that the device was finally out of stock. This could be due to the customer fatigue in the Xiaomi device but the company s India head Manu Jain maintains that the demand for the product is still high.
A selected number of previously unsuccessful Redmi 1S registered users also found the device in their carts automatically between 4:00PM yesterday and and 12:00AM tomorrow. These selected registered users were intimated through email. Additionally, the company was also giving a 10 percent discount on Redmi 1S covers in the same stipulated time as mentioned above.
