Xiaomi will soon be unveiling a LTE variant of its much popular Redmi 1S. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has teased on the social network Weibo that it plans to take the wraps off the LTE-capable Redmi 1S on January 4, GizmoChina reports. The same variant recently was spotted on Chinese certification website TENAA. According to the listing, the handset comes with a 64-bit capable Snapdragon 410 processor, paired with 1GB of RAM. The handset sports a 4.7-inch 720p display and sports 2-megapixel and 8-megapixel camera sensors. The dual-SIM capable Redmi 1S will support the TD-LTE and LTE-FDD networks. Besides specification improvements, from the leaked image, the handset also seems to bring a thinner bezel compared to the original Redmi 1S. It also comes with OGS screen, which may improve the display quality. The promo image also hints more color options for the Redmi 1S. It will be interesting to see if the company launches the 4G capable Redmi 1S in India. The Chinese company recently started selling the Redmi Note 4G at Rs 9,999.
